I’ve decided to start a new blog because what I’m about to build is bigger than just Amazon and reselling.
It’s about the journey to the top, building an empire and proving everyone who doubted you wrong.
Let’s begin with my story. Then I’ll tell you how you can achieve far more than me, if you just believe.
When I dropped out of college in 2016, everyone told me I was making the biggest mistake of my life.
My parents thought I was lost. My friends thought I was delusional. People looked at me like I had thrown away my future.
They were half-right—I had thrown something away:
The illusion that someone was going to hand me the life I wanted.
I was like everyone else at one point. Naive and delusional, thinking that following some kind of playbook would get me where I wanted to go.
I learned fast how untrue that really was.
What They Don’t Tell You About Success
Most people who want success want the appearance of success. They see shiny objects—Lambos, Rolexes, designer clothes, warehouses, fancy setups—and think that’s what it means to win. They follow a playbook written by someone else, thinking it will guarantees results. Pathetic.
They take courses.
They join cook groups.
They chase hype.
They copy formulas.
They do everything except the one thing success actually demands:
Taking real action—without permission, without guarantees, without safety nets.
Starting at Absolute Zero
When I started, I didn’t have capital. I didn’t have credit. I didn’t have a dime to my name. I didn’t have connections. All I had was a plastic folding table, a $40 printer, and an unshakeable belief that I would figure it out.
And guess what? I fucking did.
- I dropped out of college in 2016 because I didn’t want to be a slave and would rather be dirt poor and free than a corporate dog.
- I worked at Target as a college dropout in 2017 after failing Shopify dropshipping and getting into debt.
- I listened to Grant Cardone and Brian Tracy audiotapes for hours on my Airpods while stocking shelves and quit the day they told me I couldn’t wear them anymore.
- I sold cars for hours at BMW and Mercedes in 2018 while my peers were drinking and partying having the time of their lives because I was determined to become a master of sales.
- I plotted and schemed my entry into becoming self made and self-paid and sacrificed 6 figure income, comfortable and respectable job at Mercedes to do my own thing.
- I did UberEats and Doordash during the 2020 pandemic while everyone else was watching news, getting brainwashed and didn’t leave their house. I arbitraged low gas prices with sky high food delivery demand to get my initial seed money.
- I flipped books at thrift stores like Goodwill and Value Village in 2021 with UberEats and DoorDash money.
- I scanned products in discount aisles for hours in 2022 until my eyes blurred.
- I sourced every day, rain or shine, 8 hours straight.
I didn’t do this because someone promised me success—I did it because no one was promising me anything.
And that was liberating.
Because when no one’s coming to save you, you’re forced to become your own savior.
The Myth of Guarantees
I meet people who ask for guarantees all the time:
- “If I follow your advice, how soon will I make six figures?”
- “Can you promise I’ll succeed if I buy this tool?”
- “Will this new strategy definitely work?”
Fuck out of here with that employee level thinking.
Here’s the truth no one wants to admit:
Success doesn’t come from guarantees. It comes from embracing uncertainty.
Guarantees are an illusion—they’re comfort blankets for people too scared to move without a roadmap. But life doesn’t hand out maps. The world is too chaotic for that. Success is built by those who walk directly into the unknown, fueled by hunger, courage, and determination.
In fact, that’s the sick irony of it all. You only get there by taking risk, and the only person who holds you back and holds the power to set you free is you.
The Moment You Understand Money
My turning point was realizing one simple truth:
If I could turn $1 into $2 just once, I could do it again.
Most dipshits see this and think, that’s nothing, it’s not scalable. Pathetic.
One flip changed my life. One simple, insignificant flip that most people would’ve ignored or called “small money.” That first tiny success was proof—it shattered my doubts and obliterated my reality.
It showed me money was not scarce—opportunities were everywhere. You just had to be willing to see them.
And unlike most people, I wasn’t waiting for anyone to point them out.
Sacrifice Is Your Superpower
For years, I sacrificed everything: my social life, comfort, weekends, sleep, even my pride.
- I worked in freezing storage units with terrible working conditions.
- I borrowed money from friends/family and crushed my ego to make it work at times.
- I ate $1.50 Costco hot dogs and Burger King value menu items so I would have more capital to deploy while scanning clearance racks at Walmart.
Every sacrifice compounded my hunger. It became my armor.
You see, most people fear sacrifice. They fear discomfort. They fear pain. But that’s exactly why they never win. They hold back, stay safe, and call themselves “practical.”
Meanwhile, I was getting stronger, smarter, faster, hungrier—day after day.

The Truth About Hustle
Real hustle is not about Instagram flexing or YouTube thumbnails. It’s quiet, brutal, and relentless. It’s about scanning shoes at Kohl’s and flipping Legos when nobody else sees the value. While they’re chasing hype. While they’re chasing easy wins.
It’s about consistency, system-building, and mastering the boring fundamentals.
Taking proof of concept, then scaling that to the motherfucking moon.
It’s not chasing the quick flip. It’s becoming the edge itself.
Most will never understand this, and that’s why they’ll never have real power. Real hustle gives you leverage and control, and that’s worth infinitely more than clout.
Why Most People Don’t Win
Here’s what keeps people stuck:
- Waiting for permission: They need someone else’s approval to start.
- Fear of mistakes: They avoid action, terrified of being wrong.
- Attachment to comfort: They want guarantees instead of growth.
Pathetic.
Weak.
Soft.
Winning doesn’t happen by accident—it’s a conscious, relentless choice. You choose it every single day through the decisions you make and actions you take.
Winners aren’t special or magical; they simply refuse to play by the rules of fear and hesitation.
Losers need guarantees, permission, certainty and stability.
All of those things are contrary to real success.
What You Need to Know to Start Winning
If you’re reading this, understand clearly:
- You don’t need capital.
- You don’t need fancy equipment.
- You don’t need someone else’s playbook.
In fact, all of those things become crutches if you don’t even believe in yourself.
What you need is hunger.
You need the kind of hunger that makes failure impossible, because you’ll keep coming back, learning, adapting, growing, and fighting until you win.
It’s do or die every single day.
This isn’t a job. It’s war.
You must be ruthless and cut out for battle, or you will be slaughtered.
The Game Has Changed
Today, I’m not just an Amazon reseller. I’m a systems-builder, an automation architect, an AI strategist. My journey goes beyond flipping products. I mastered the game, now it became my obsession to take it to its absolute highest level. This new blog will be about creating freedom, building generational power, and empowering others.
I’m opening a new chapter at alexhyun.com, where I’ll share everything I’ve learned—not just Amazon FBA, but AI, automation, privacy, finance, personal power, and life itself.
Why? Because the future belongs to those who create, not those who wait.
Because the path to power has changed—and you can either adapt, or fade into obscurity.
The Choice Is Yours
You’re reading this for a reason. Maybe you’re tired of being practical. Maybe you’re done waiting. Maybe you’re ready to finally become who you know you can be.
If that’s you, here’s your permission slip:
- Stop seeking approval.
- Stop chasing guarantees.
- Stop waiting for someone to save you.
No one is coming.
But that’s good news.
Because you can finally come to save yourself.
And that’s the most powerful place to start.
Until next time,
Alex Hyun
First off, 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I so appreciate all that you do! I’m a newbie in the FBM game, and you have been the realist source of encouragement. Straight shooter, no chaser!
I recently got let go from your inventory Insiders group, no hard feelings! I completely understand why.
As a newbie at times it was intimidating seeing the quantity of product purchased, especially when your capital can’t compete. My flips are small, due to capital so most times I didn’t contribute because the group is just on a different level , and because I’m still learning the game. But that group was and still remains a great source of encouragement! I had a front row seat to witness the grind it takes to get to that level, and the movement of real ppl on that level!
This post is exactly what most including myself needs to hear. I’m experiencing similar trials that you highlight in this blog and it’s invigorating to hear a silver lining to the story.
Key take away: “Success doesn’t come from guarantees. It comes from embracing uncertainty “ 🔥🔥🔥
Alex I appreciate you, and Thank you for the opportunity to be apart of inventory insiders!!!
